Lord God, Servant King,

Fill me with you servant heart that I should seek to serve as you do. Teach me your ways of love and care and laying down of my self that I may tread in you foot steps each day. Give me revelation of the needs that I encounter that I may not be oblivious to the service that is needed of me. Give me the wisdom to make Godly choices for my actions and keep me from foolish acts. Open my eyes to acts of service You would have me undertake.

Your Word says that I should lay down my life and I choose to do this; when I feel fatigued from serving others may I remember that it is no longer my life, therefore, that I am holding back but yours. Give me the strength to go on choosing Your servant life style. I pray that I will do what is right rather than listen to the flesh which does not serve. I declare that I seek no earthly reward for my Christian service but that I lay up treasure in heaven. May I keep my eyes on you and may others see a little more of your glory through my service to them.
